The Owl Creek Chase is a challenging, fun and scenic race. The 2021 course is 19K and starts at the Aspen Nordic Center and follows trails to the finish at AVSC.

Pitkin County requires a travel affidavit for anyone traveling to Pitkin County and staying the night. That affidavit and all COVID19 regulations for Pitkin County can be found here.
The race will be an interval start, starting at 9am.
Participants are asked to park at the Aspen Middle School and take a warm up ski down to the Aspen Nordic Center for the start. Check in will be located at the Aspen Middle school.
There will be no spectators allowed at the 2021 Owl Creek Chase. Racers will start immediately when they arrive at the Start line, and must depart the finish area immediately after they finish. All racers must wear a mask at the start and the finish and maintain social distance of 6ft. There will no aid stations along the course, participants are required to bring whatever they will need for the race with them and keep it on their person at all times. There are no shuttles provided by the race and no awards ceremony. Participants will receive an event t-shirt and results will be posted online after the event.
