From the Art Cart Alpine Rally in wintry February to Mactoberfest at the end of summer, the City of Aspen Special Events Department creates experiences that celebrate local talent, foster connection, and enhance the quality of life for those who live, work, and play in Aspen. These events are designed to enhance the vitality of Aspen and enrich the quality of life for both locals and visitors, with a strong emphasis on community, creativity, and place.

In addition to producing city-led events, the Special Events Department also facilitates the permitting process for third-party organizers seeking to bring their events to Aspen, helping ensure that each gathering aligns with the city’s values while contributing positively to our shared spaces.
